Hi, I'm Marcea!

When people ask me how long I've been planning weddings, I say "that's a loaded question." I grew up with a wedding planner mom and started helping her at a very young age. After college, I worked for a prominent Seattle restaurant company and planned events for them, while also doing dinners and parties (large and small) for churches, non-profit organizations, schools and small businesses, the largest being a gathering of 1,000. As a trained violinist, I had a string quartet for about 10 years and we did dozens of weddings together, so I uniquely understand the vendor side of things.. After a career in real estate, I decided to follow my original passion, and MG Event Design was born in 2017. When I'm not planning an event, I love to travel, read a good book, cook yummy meals, walk on the beach searching for sea glass, and spend time with family and friends. And I can't wait to get to know you!

A portion of every dollar we make goes to support these two kiddos in Haiti through Present Hope Ministry. This is a Christian organization that addresses poverty and injustice by providing an education through their school, nutritious meals, access to medical care, and clothing.
